I'm a film and video editor with a knack for storytelling and a love for all things creative. Based in the “bustling” city of Gravesend, just outside of London, I'm on a mission to create content that's not just good, but out-of-this-world amazing. From adventure documentaries filmed across the North West Passage to charity films for young people in need, I'm a master of finding the heart of the story and bringing it to life on screen. My work has earned multiple awards, including the Cannes Dolphin and EVCOM, but let's be real, the real reward is seeing people's reactions when they watch my films (or the look on their face when they realise they've been watching a film for the past hour, but who's counting?!)
When it comes to editing, I'm like a Swiss Army knife. Avid? Check. Adobe Premiere? Check. Da Vinci Resolve? Triple check. I believe in using the best tool for the job, and I'm always on the lookout for new and exciting ways to level up my skills. My approach to editing is a bit like being a detective - I work closely with the director and the team to uncover the story's hidden gems and bring them to the forefront. Along with editing, I also have a talent for grading and sound design.
Before starting my own company, Webbed Films, I honed my skills as a Senior Editor at Media Zoo and DRPG, two of Televisual's top companies in the corporate video space (where I also learned how to make a mean cup of coffee). My portfolio is like a who's who of the film and video world - I've worked with top-notch clients like INEOS, Lego, and . And I'm always on the lookout for new and exciting collaborations. Currently, I'm also the Head of Post at Revelstoke Films, where I'm creating documentaries that will blow your mind (and hopefully your speakers).
In addition to my work in documentaries and corporate media, I also have extensive experience in editing feature films and shorts. From pre-production to post-production, I have been involved in several projects, and have a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities that come with editing feature films. I have a keen eye for storytelling, pacing, and visual storytelling, and I work closely with the director and other members of the team to ensure that the final product is true to the story we want to tell.
When I'm both working and often not working, you'll find me in my edit suite, which is like a fortress of solitude for editing. I have made my workspace into an epic place to make films, without the loading bars, spinning circles of death and long render times. With 5.1 surround sound, lightning-fast internet connections, colour-accurate displays, and a storage server that never sleeps, I've created the ultimate environment for both bringing stories to life and procrastination.
Oh, and did I mention that I also direct and write short films myself under the Webbed Films banner? I believe that the skills I've developed as an editor frequently crossover into writing and directing, and I always speak up to fight for the best way to tell the story. I've been telling stories my whole life, and my love for the medium and the process involved in creating films is like a never-ending roller coaster ride of excitement (or maybe that's just my coffee intake).
